Elden Johnson age 60 years was the third of 5 children (and twin to his brother Eldred) born to the union of Mr. & Mrs. Roy Lee (Marva Corease) Johnson on June 30, 1962, in Gary, Indiana. Elden being raised in the faith of Catholicism accepted Christ at an early age.
He attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1981. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, traveled abroad, and served in various occupations in Supply before receiving his honorable discharge in 1984. During his tenure, he received awards and accolades for his dedication and commitment to our country.
After serving his country, Elden and Cynthia (now ex-wife) united in holy matrimony and settled in Arlington, Texas to start their family. During his later years he worked as an Assemblyman at the manufacturing company, Fant Logistics, who favors employing Military Veterans. Elden had many passions & hobbies - (most importantly) attending his kids football games, watching college and pro basketball and football, gathering for fun with family, friends & co-workers barbecuing, playing music, and playing spades and dominos.
Our memory of Elden will forever live on in our hearts. Some of us remember him as a child…the special way he smiled. Or as an adult always making others laugh. He had a gift for getting people to dance and having a good time at gatherings. His specialty dance, pop locking or pretending to dance like Michael Jackson brought lots of laughter to our gatherings.
Let us ponder and reflect on the true spirit of Elden. The many special moments each of us had, as our dad, brother, uncle, and friend. He lived up to the English origin of his name… “NOBLE FRIEND”.
Elden transitioned on May 22, 2023, in his home, in Fort Worth, TX. He leaves to cherish fond and precious memories, his beloved sons - Joshua Thicklin of Lakewood, CO and Marcus Johnson of Arlington, TX, daughter - Keona Johnson of Arlington, TX, sisters - Valerie (Tinoah) Crumedy and Triphena Jeton Johnson of Gary, IN, sister - LaJuona Johnson of Fairburn, GA, fraternal Twin Brother - Eldred (Janelle) Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, grandsons - Ari and Asher Thicklin of Lakewood, CO, Ex-wife - Cynthia Johnson of Arlington, TX, a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends.

PSALM 23
{KING JAMES VERSION}
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still water. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou prepares a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
