FORT WORTH-Felix Mendoza Jr. passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at the age of 42.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Felix was born Friday, January 12, 1979 to the late Felix and Rebecca Mendoza in Hurst, Texas. He graduated from Crowley High School. His career included working at Thornton Steel, Atmos Energy and the City of Fort Worth Water Department, Senior Construction Operator.
Felix believed what the Bible tells us about heaven being a place where God lives with his people. He believed that it is a place of endless love and perfect peace. Revelations 21:4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither mourning nor crying nor pain, for the former things passed away.”
Felix had a deep joy in helping out his friends in need. If you knew Felix, you knew he always liked to “play” around which usually meant poking, tickling or scaring of some sort. And those that knew him even better, maybe remembers the wrestling moves, twisters, and the unforgettable bite. Felix loved fiercely and believed it should be known. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, music, and his collection of Yugioh cards. Felix’s smile was infectious and certainly will be missed by all the family who loved him so much.
Felix is preceded in death by his parents, Felix Mendoza Sr. and Rebecca Mendoza; and sister, Cecilia Diaz.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 23 years, Laura Mendoza; daughter, Jordan Mendoza; son, Christian Mendoza; granddaughter, Rebecca Burgos; nephews, Michael Mendoza, Zachary Diaz and Antonio Diaz; and numerous family and friends.
