In Loving Memory of Felix Ortiz
September 1, 1955 - November 11, 2024
Felix Ortiz, a man as wonderfully unique as the chords he strummed on his electric guitar, left this world on November 11, 2024, to reunite with the greats in the cosmic jam session. Born on September 1, 1955, Felix lived a life full of melody, love, and a little bit of that classic hippie stubbornness that made him unforgettable.
The relationship that Felix had with is mother "Nemi" was 2nd to none with his mother being the queen of his world. The relationship between Felix and his sisters was a swirl of love, emotion and chaos all wrapped into one. Felix's daughters, Shirlyn and Jelixa Ortiz, were the heart of his world. He loved them fiercely and unapologetically, leaving them with more cherished memories than they could ever count. His love for his family was as big as his personality, and if you knew Felix, you knew that his stubbornness was his own unique brand of loyalty and care.
Music was his lifelong passion, and there wasn't a guitar string he didn't make sing. Whether it was a gentle tune or a shredding solo, Felix played with his whole soul. Every note was a testament to his love for music, his family, and the journey he walked so freely.
Felix was a bit of a rebel at heart-a stubborn, free-spirited hippie who marched to the beat of his own guitar riff. He held fast to his beliefs, embraced his quirks, and was proudly unapologetic about who he was. He'd be the first to tell you, "Rules are more like guidelines, man."
Though we'll miss his humor, his stubborn advice, and his epic guitar solos, we know that he's found peace in a place where the music never stops.
