Geri Sue Morgan

DENTON — Geri Sue Morgan passed into the loving presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the age of 76.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Cathedral International, 1701 Oakhurst Scenic Drive, Fort Worth, 76111. Interment: Geri will be laid to rest in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown, Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home.
Geri was born Sept. 25, 1939, to the late Robert and Margaret Hudson in Dallas. Geri was a gifted and anointed musician. She played the piano and organ professionally until she felt led to consecrate her talents solely to the service of the Lord. Geri traveled extensively as a witness for Jesus Christ, ministering in 47 nations. From 1981 to 2001, she ministered in China, being instrumental in building an eye surgery center to bring sight to the blind in Beijing, China. She was also integral to the building of a 5-million-watt television station in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and served as its vice president. Her life was bubbling over with vitality and the joy of the Lord. She loved people, dogs, thrift stores, being an avid collector of many things, primarily costume jewelry.
Everyone who knew Geri loved her. She would make friends with the maid who cleaned the hotel room in any city or the highest government official and would stay in touch with them the rest of her life. Truly the love of God was shed abroad through her life. Now she has gone to her deserved reward in the arms of Jesus, whom she loved with every fiber of her being.
Geri was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Bragg; father, Robert Hudson; mother, Margaret Blount; and stepfather, Marvin Blount.
Survivors: Very close friend, Dr. Elizabeth Vaughan; her beloved dogs, Lucy and Precious; and her church family at Calvary Cathedral International.
