Guadalupe Diaz Orosco, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas following a sudden illness. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Orosco; her daughters Corina Pandeli and Jennifer Almachar, and their husbands; her siblings Gloria Jauregui, Ricardo Cabrera, Jr., Alicia Cabrera, and Elvia Cabrera; and her grandchildren, Jacob, Natalie, and Paloma. She was preceded in death by her parents Ricardo Cabrera and Evangelina Cabrera, and her brother Victor Cabrera. Lupe, as she was known to family and friends, was 59 years old.
Lupe was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother who told anyone within earshot about her loving family. Originally from California, Lupe maintained a strong bond and connection with her family both in California and Texas, and doted lovingly on her three grandchildren, who were a particular source of joy and pride for her. Ever an adventurer at heart, Lupe and Jim traveled throughout the United States in their fifth wheel RV, basking in the sun on the shores of Florida, experiencing the natural beauty and wonder of Yellowstone and Yosemite, and walking through the splendor of the Pacific Northwest, to name a few places. Lupe meticulously documented these adventures, and her family, with a multitude of photos depicting breathtaking landscapes and smiling faces. Lupe also bore an artistic eye and loved to craft, and honed her resin skills in recent years.
A mass for Lupe will be held on May 6, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in National City, California, followed by a memorial service for close family. Lupe was one of a kind, and her presence, love, and laughter will be missed tremendously by those who loved her.
