FORT WORTH — Harrell Dean Coggins passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at the age of 87.
Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Friday at Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Ed Malone officiating. Visitation: The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Harrell was born Sept. 15, 1927, to the late Luther and Nancy Coggins in Wichita Falls. Harrell was a Merchant Marine and served in World War II. He was a former member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason. His passions in life included fishing, golf, traveling, fixing things and talking on the phone with family and friends. Harrell was a technician for AT&T for 37 years. Harrell is loved, admired and respected by all of us and will remain in our hearts forever.
The family would like to thank all of Harrell’s caregivers over the past few years.
Harrell was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Erma Coggins; companion, Wanda Vincent; and sister, Juanita Huddleston.
Survivors: Children, Cathy MacGorman and husband, Bob, Cheryl Frink and husband, David, Christy Wentz and husband, Don; grandchildren, Ollie, Carrie, Kelly, Jack, Christy, Jade, India, Gary and Charles; great-grandchildren, Winn and Elliott; mother of his children, Mary Kell; and many extended family members and friends.
