Jacky "Hunter" Cornelison, 23, made his last sarcastic comment on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Hunter was such a light in this sometimes dark world and he will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. Especially to witness his entertaining personality and terrible color matching ability. He touched the lives of so many people across many various age groups. During his time with us, he made a point to always help anyone with whatever he could, never second-guessing his decision, always with a smile on his face, and his type of respect shown.
Hunter was born on February 4th, 2001, in Decatur Texas to his parents, Lorri Cornelison and Jammie Cornelison. Immediately, Hunter began strutting that he is the best looking sibling to his older sisters, LaTrisha Shawnee and Alexandra Cornelison. Hunter grew up in Bowie where his DNA probably still lingers at the skate park from his "epic tricks" but we all know it was his balance. He grew to "enjoy" fixing vehicles as much as one can. When things never went right when fixing almost anything with his brother, Russell Harlow, Russell made sure to knock his ego down a peg or two. But Hunter's way always made more sense despite what YouTube said. His new passion he found in welding caused a nice red complexion for Hunter and he definitely didn't spare any time letting you know just how much it messed up his good looks. Hunter still thought he could make it in one of those L'Oreal hair commercials one day, though. He wanted to further his knowledge and was looking into his GED. Hunters godparents, Ronnie and Gayle Elliot made sure to guide him through life and support his cookie addiction.
Hunter is survived by not only his Oreo stash, but his nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family and countless friends. He was never one for sentiments or religiosity, but if he owes you a beer, when you find him again, he would gladly get you to buy him another. In leaving, he is joining Justin Ray Cornelison (Brother), Lahoma Allen (Granny), Tommy Cornelison (Uncle), Geneva Moore (Gammy), and Carl Troutt (O'Pa).
Hunter's love of life was known in the way he lived. Even just sitting on the porch turned into a fun time with family, friends, and of course music and beer! The days will be different now without him waking everyone up in the morning with his music or loud "breakfast making skills".
For us, he really is that pebble thrown into a lake as the lives he touched act as ripples that extend far beyond just us.
Hunter's Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm November 22, at the Bowie Elmwood Cemetery.
