Jackie Jay Jarvis, age 44, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
Graveside Service: 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2020 at Laurel Land Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tx.
Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon July 19 at Brown, Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home.
Jay was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on February 11, 1976.
Jay graduated from Mansfield High School in 1994 where he played football for the Tigers, making all-district center his senior year. Jay took great pride in his family, and was a loyal, steadfast and honest friend. His greatest joy in life was being a devoted father. His son, Jayden, was his everything and truly the love of his life. Jay would remark, “There goes my heart walking outside of my body.” He is preceded in death by his father, Jackie Jay Jarvis, Sr.; mother and father, Ann and Everett Baird; brother, Jimmy Baird; niece, Penny Eastman.
Survivors: his son, Jayden Alexander Jarvis of Mansfield; his sisters, Connie Bullard, Barbara Baird, and Penney Baird; nieces and nephews, Stacy, Jeff, Layla, Danette, Jennifer, Ericka, Casey, Lauren, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Also survived by his ride or die and brother from the heart Jody Hatfield.
