FORT WORTH — James Edward Billhymer Jr. passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the age of 71.
Celebration of life: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, in Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel with a classic car motorcade to lead us to the cemetery. Interment: James will be laid to rest at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
James was born March 26, 1944, to the late James and Jewel Billhymer in Highland Park, Ill. Among some of James’ passions in life were classic and antique cars, drag racing, collecting die cast and toy cars, 1950s’ memorabilia and playing in pool tournaments. He was also a second-generation master barbecuer.
James will be deeply missed by everyone and will remain in our hearts forever.
Survivors: Son, Sean Billhymer; granddaughter, Bredyn Billhymer; close family, Tamara and Brenna; brother, John; sisters, Joan, Joyce, Janice, Junene and Julia; and very good friends, Vole and Beverly Smart.
