WHITE SETTLEMENT — Jerry D. Williams, 72, passed from this world peacefully in his sleep into God’s hands on Saturday, June 22, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf “Rock Church” Cemetery in Cranfills Gap. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors
Jerry was born May 4, 1941, to the late Herman and Syble Williams in Oklahoma City, Okla. Jerry was an avid farmer who loved to be on his 250-acre farm in Iredell with all the kids and grandkids. He worked as a fireman in Haltom City and volunteered at White Settlement Fire Department for 20 years. He later went to work at Lockheed Martin as a toolmaker and retired after 38 years of dedicated service.
Survivors: Loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn Williams; son, Tim Williams and wife, Deedee; son, Todd Williams and wife, Kristi; eight grandkids, Breanna, Tyler, Kiley, Kolton, Tiffany, Karington, Amanda and Chris; and many friends.
