Joey was born Friday, May 8, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas to Kenneth and Laverne Walker. He attended Western Hills High School. Joey was a very hard working man. He worked as an irrigation foreman for Burks Irrigation and led an active life.
He loved fishing with his Uncle Don and cousin, Estes, golfing with his Brother, Keith Walker and Boss, Alan Burks, and playing bingo with friends.
Most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids. “Paw Paw” would always attend their sporting events and school functions.
He also loved to sit in his recliner with his grandkids, watching movies and eating popsicles. He also enjoyed taking his dog, Lucy for car rides and getting car washes.
Joey was charming, humble, and had a quick sense of humor. He was known to be a “jokester” among all of us. Joey was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Joey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Odas and Etta Ann Walker; grandfather, Jack Baker; and grandmother, Maysel Elliott.
