John Frank Seat

John was born on Easter Sunday, March 27, 1932, in West, Texas to the late Gordon William and Mary Edna Seat. He graduated from Texas A&M with a BBA and from TCU with a MBA. John proudly served his country by enlisting in the US Air Force and was a 1st Lieutenant at Holloman Air Force Base. He worked for Texas Electric, General Dynamics and then started his own company, John Frank Seat Financial Services.
He participated in the high school VOE program by mentoring and hiring high school students to work in his office. John was a member of Emmanuel Sunday School class at St. Luke UMC since 1957. He was an avid golfer, played tennis, bowling, woodworking, bridge club and was active in the church choir. John would say his fondest memories were playing golf in the snow with his friends. He dearly enjoyed family vacations, traveling to most of the United States and in Bella Vista, AR. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon William and Mary Edna Seat; sister, Katherine S. Eaker; brother, Gordon W. Seat Jr.; nephew, Kerry Kinsey; and sister-in-law, Betty Graham.
Survivors: Loving wife of 65 years, Billie Joyce Seat; daughter, Susan Stuber and husband, David; daughter, Carolyn Ward and husband, Philip; daughter, Sherry Seat; sister, Ruth Crain; grandchildren, Keegan Ward, Amanda Ward, and Samantha Seat; nieces, Judy Dwyer and husband, Jim, Linda Eaker, Diane Brooks and husband, John, Peggy Nolen, Becky Daniel and husband, Chris, and Vicki Hoggett and husband, Jack; nephew, Britt Fellers and wife, Patsy; sister-in-law, Brenda Fellers and husband, Byrl; numerous great nieces and nephews; and many friends.
