Johnny Edward Morton Jr. “Scooter”

On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Johnny Edward Morton Jr. “Scooter”, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 34. Scooter was born on December 6, 1986, in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Johnny and Deborah Morton. He spent most of his life growing up in Newark, Texas and attended school through Northwest ISD, where he was known for his goofy personality.
Johnny was the father of two beautiful girls, Skylar and Tori Morton, and Fiancé to Chelsea Sprabary, who he loved dearly. He was a loving father, partner and a great friend to everyone he knew.
Scooter was known to be the life of every celebration. There was something about his smile that was so contagious, that even on the worst of days he could make everyone else in the room smile with him. Johnny loved the outdoors and spending time with loved ones. His enjoyment in life came from seeing other people happy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Edward Morton Sr. and grandparents. Johnny is survived by his ; daughters, Skylar and Tori Morton; fiancé, Chelsea Sprabary; Mother, Deborah Kay Morton; brother, Charles Morton and wife Lisa; sister, Tracy Morton; his nieces, Peyton McCarty and husband Jason, Morgan Olijnyk and husband Leyvi, Meagan Benton and husband Colby; two great nephews, Zeke and Lincoln as well as many other beloved family members.
Funeral arrangements: A Memorial / Visitation will be held @ Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home in Ft Worth on Wednesday, June 9th at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to be contributed to a managed account that has been established to assist Scooter’s children with expenses they may incur as they complete their high school education and transition into adulthood. (graduation, prom, sports activities, tuition, transportation, etc.). All donations will go directly to help his children succeed, to meet their basic needs, as well as their goals and aspirations .
