Joy Nichols

FORT WORTH-Joy Nichols, 87, passed away April 8, 2022.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Mercy Culture Church.
VISITATION: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the funeral home.
INTERMENT: Joy will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
Joy was born October 8, 1934 to the late J.C. and Monta Thompson in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended and graduated from Southwestern A/G High School in Waxahachie, Class of 1953. Joy was a pastor’s wife for 55 years and was a loving and caring wife, mom, grandmom and great grandmom. She loved her babies! She led the ladies Bible study for many years at Calvary Cathedral. She will be deeply missed by us all.
Joy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rex Thompson and James Thompson.
SURVIVORS: Husband of 67 years, Robert (Bob) Nichols; daughter, Susan Foster and husband, Phillip; daughter, Janet Nichols; brother, Dwight Thompson and wife, Zonelle; granddaughter, Kristen Utley and husband, Jason; grandson, Robby foster and wife, Lauren; granddaughter, Keleigh Foster; grandson, Nicholas Foster; great grandsons, Benjamin Utley and Jack Utley; great granddaughters, Kate Utley, Abigail Foster, Elyse Foster and Adley Foster; numerous nieces and nephews; and many many dear friends.
