Juanita Sierra Morales passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at the age of 73. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 5 to 6 p.m. Friday in Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Juanita was born Aug. 19, 1940, to the late Gonzalo and Victoria Sierra in Fort Worth. Juanita was den mother for Cub Scouts, a mother to all the neighborhood kids, known as “Miss Jean.” She loved photography, cooking and the outdoors, and throwing parties for her family. Most of all, she loved Christmas and preparing 50-plus stockings for all her family and presenting Baby Jesus in the manger. Juanita was a nurse’s aide, worked in retail sales and was a translator for Texas Rehab. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gonzalo Sierra Jr., Jesse Ramirez and Fred Ceron. Survivors: Son, Robert “Teddy Bear” Hernandez and Lisa; son, Christopher Hernandez; son, Jesse Sierra Hernandez and wife, Becky; daughter, Jean Hernandez and husband, Jerry Wiley; daughter, Sharon Hernandez; daughter, Rita Sumpter; daughter, Victoria Hernandez and husband, Shawn Ayala; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Carreon and Mary Diaz; brothers, Lupe Ceron, Al Lee and George Lee; many nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
