Kenneth R Rucker Sr, 81, born December 12, 1942, departed this world on December 17, 2023. He was a great man: wonderful father, grandfather, friend, and loving husband to his wife Liz Spinasanto-Rucker. He had a good life, and was loved by all who knew him. He was born and raised in Fort Worth, Tx, and was a Ft. Worth Police Officer for 32 years, before retiring and moving to Ninilchik, Ak.. As dogs were his passion, he later became a K9 Scent work Instructor, spreading his enthusiasm for the sport. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and dancing with Liz at every opportunity.
He had returned to Fort Worth in September, along with his soulmate Liz, and waged a valiant battle with cancer. And, at 80 years old, with his son as minister and grandson as best man, he married his sweetheart of 10 years. She was at his bedside along with his son, when he took his last breath.
His legacy will be his wisdom, kindness and generosity, and the way that he touched the lives of so many people, and positively influenced the world around him. He loved his family and will live on in their hearts and spirit, as his love and encouragement molded them all.
He is survived by his wife Liz Rucker, his son Ken Jr and daughter-in-law Lizy, his daughter Jeanette, granddaughters Savanna, Natalie and Anastasia, and grandson Cody. His extended family included Eddie, Edward(Sulig), and Heidi Archuletta, Clark and Jamie Fryrear, their children Jasmine and Hagen, and Brad Fryrear. He loved them all.
A local and informal celebration of life will be announced in the near future. And his ashes will be returned to Ninilchik, Ak., his final resting place, in the spring.
May his soul rest in peace.
