Larry Wells, 75, of Weatherford, Texas passed away Friday, February 17, 2023. Larry was born June 30, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to late parents- Willie and Pauline Wells. He grew up in Poolville, Texas, and graduated from Poolville High School in 1965. Larry joined and proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps, 1st Battalion 5th Marine Division in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in 1972.
Larry worked in construction and home repairs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in recent years researching family ancestry. He was a member of the Sons Of Confederate Veterans Camp, #1937.
Larry is survived by daughter- Amy Wells, son- William Wells, granddaughter- Olivia Turner, sisters- Janice Phillips, Paula (Dana) Soultaire, brother- Gary Wells, last surviving uncle- Hugh D. Wells, nephews- Tony Phillips, Roger Phillips, Todd Phillips and Jeffrey Soultaire, nieces- Paula Cochran and Marlena Soultaire, numerous cousins and friends.
Larry is preceded in death by brother- Roger Malone, and brother in law- TJ Phillips Jr.; and infant daughter Wells.
Pallbearers; Gordon Wells, John Wells, Andrew Wells, Tommy Winchester, Jake Hart, Cody Lewis, Kyle Lewis and Wade Buie.
Services will be at Brown, Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home, 425 South Henderson, Fort Worth, Texas 76104, Friday February 24, 2023. Visitation is 11am to 1pm and funeral services will begin at 1pm. Burial will be at Parker Memorial Cemetery, 3900 William D. Tate Avenue, Grapevine, Texas 76051.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry's name to a charity of your choice.
