Lelia May Jones

Lelia Jones, 88, passed away on August 22, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX.

Lilly was born on May 27th 1936 in Weymouth, Massachusetts to Lorne and Leora Rushton. Lilly's greatest treasures in life were her family, her friends and her salvation in Jesus. With an abundance of love and grace Lilly dedicated her life to the care of her own children, grandchildren, as well as many other children, pets, and loved ones entrusted to her care. She viewed each and every human as a child of God and believed that we are all precious in his sight. She may have looked delicate but even in the face of tremendous loss Lilly remained faithful, strong, and full of love. To know her was to love her, but more than that, to know her was to be loved. This is the legacy that she leaves behind.

Lilly was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Jones, her parents, Lorne and Leora Rushton, siblings, Sherman Rushton, Robert Rushton, Corrine Queenan, and Warren Rushton, her son, Gerald Ruggles Jr., and daughters, Cheryle Ruggles and Valerie Ruggles.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Bozon and son in law, Alan Bozon, her sons Scott Ruggles and Robert Ruggles, grandson, Benjamin Bozon, granddaughter, Peyton Cole and husband, Brandon Cole, and great grandson, Judah Cole, as well as many other beloved extended family and friends.

The service for Lilly Jones will be held on Thursday, August 29th, at 12:00 pm at The Church at Benbrook 930 Winscott Rd, Benbrook TX 76126

Burial: Anetta Cemetery, Anetta TX
