Lera “Louise” Stinson

FORT WORTH — Lera “Louise” Stinson passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 just two days after her 95th birthday.
Memorial service: According to her wishes, there will be no service. Interment: Louise will rest next to her parents, Leroy and Arra Belle Jobe in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Louise was born in Lohn, Texas on Nov. 14, 1919. She lived most of her life in Fort Worth and was a graduate of Paschal High School. A young divorcee in the late 50’s, she supported herself and her one child as a professional seamstress. She designed and made almost all of her own clothes. As a youth, she was a tap dancer and later in life spent many enjoyable evenings dancing with her second husband, Jerry, at the Guys and Dolls Ballroom until his death in 1990. She loved big band music and one of her favorite songs was, “Begin The Beguine” by Glenn Miller. She rarely missed a Dallas Cowboys game.

The youngest of three children, she was predeceased by her brothers George and Charles Jobe.
She is lovingly remembered and survived by son, Nick Harris and wife Cath; and nephews, Charles (Donna) Jobe, and Jimmy (Peggy) Jobe.
