Linda Doris Lackey

Linda Doris Lackey, 73, passed away on October 4, 2021, in North Richland Hills. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Alliance United Methodist Church, 7904 Park Vista Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76137.
Linda was born on March 26, 1948 to John Randolph Gillum and Marjorie Doris Roberts Gillum. She graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1966. After graduation, she went to work at Southwestern Bell as an operator and worked there until she retired.
Linda enjoyed to travel and would take yearly vacations with her travel club. She was also member of the Red Hat Society and a member of a canasta group.
The true love of her life was her family, and the most important of them were her grandchildren—whom she spoiled at every opportunity.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her sister, Sharon Broberg and husband John of St. George, UT; her daughters, Lori Lackey and Marshall Brooks of Haltom City, Denise Cyr and husband Michael of Newcastle; and three grandchildren, Hosanna Fairbanks and husband Austin of San Antonio, Joseph Cyr and Evelyn Cyr, both of Newcastle.
