Maria Luisa Lopez

Maria Luisa Lopez, 73, passed away on Sunday March 27, 2022 in Fort Worth, TX. Maria was born in Laredo, TX but spent most of her life in Fort Worth.
Maria worked at Lenox Air Conditioning & Heat for several years, as well as being a devoted worker for Menasco for 22 years, where she met her husband, David, a.k.a (Babycakes). Maria enjoyed planting in her garden, sewing, spending time with her children and grandchildren, decorating for the holidays, and shopping. Maria felt the call to be a Foster mom for several years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and friend, who always went above and beyond for everyone, and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband David Dawkins Sr; children, Luis Manuel Jimenez, Jr., Paul Jimenez and wife Sarah, David Jr., Tamara and husband Justin Chappell. Xavier Steven Lopez-Dawkins; Grandchildren, Alexandria, Marisa, Caitlin, Jennifer, Amber, Sarah, Tiffany, Taylon, Jaxstin, Serenity, Rylon, Jaycee, Justice; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Amelia Garza, and Norma J. Nelson; brother Tomas Lopez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many loved ones.

She was preceded in death by mother Francisca Peña Lopez; sister, Guadalupe Cantu, Maria Elva Garcia; brothers, Ismael , Israel, Ricardo, and Reynaldo Lopez, Jr.

Memorial service will be held at Brown Owen and Brumley’s Funeral home at 425 S Henderson St in Fort Worth, TX on Thursday, April 7 at 1:00 pm.
