FORT WORTH — Marie Louise Cole, a retired homemaker and longtime volunteer, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the age of 92.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 917 Lamar St., where she was a member. Interment: She has been laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth.
Memorials: May be made to Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains or Botanical Research Institute of Texas.
Mrs. Cole was born in New Orleans, La., and moved to Fort Worth in 1947.
She volunteered in several community organizations, including Women of Rotary, Proyecto Huasteco Inc., S.A., Fort Worth Nature Center, Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains and Botanical Research Institute of Texas. Mrs. Cole was also a member of Phi Mu sorority.
Survivors: Brother, Thomas O. Wakeman of Starkville, Miss.; daughters, Pat Maynard of Longmont, Colo., Cathy Elder of Springfield, Va., and Liz Marascio of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
