Mary Anne Pankey

FORT WORTH — Mary Anne Pankey passed away peacefully with her husband and son by her side Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at the age of 89.
Mary Anne was born March 23, 1927, in Houston. She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Houston, attended the University of Texas and was a selected duchess at Texas A&M University. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed writing children’s stories and watching game shows on TV.
To know her was to cherish her. Mary Anne was a very strong, loving, caring and dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sarah; and sons, Patrick and Michael.
Survivors: Husband for 70 wonderful years, Arthur Frederick “Bud” Pankey; son, Stephen Pankey; daughter, Linda Miteff; grandchildren, Allison Miteff, Corby Miteff, Molly Brown, Julie Dold and Kate Pankey; and seven great-grandchildren.
