Mary Jane Richardson

Mary Jane Richardson, age 87, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully February 7, 2025. Born in LaSalle, Illinois, Mary Jane graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School and married Stuart (Stu) W. Richardson in 1957. During their 56 years together, Stu and Mary Jane relocated several times, residing in: Lisle, IL, Fort Wayne, IN, Indianapolis, IN, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, Naperville, IL, and Lake Lure, NC. After Stu''s death in 2013, she settled in Fort Worth to be near her daughter.

In addition to her husband, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Sarah (Gibbons) Larson, and her five older brothers: Art, Mel, Bill, Don, and Pat.

She will be missed by her 4 surviving children: Susan (Tom) Houser of Azle, TX, Gregory (Sharon) Richardson of Grasonville, MD, Pamela (Ted) Klaus of Marysville, OH, and Amy (Andy) Pupius of West Chicago, IL, nine grandchildren: Josh (Charlotte) Houser, Kyle (Morgan) Houser, Chris (Lynn) Richardson, Erik (Gina Pernesky) Klaus, Zach (Alexandra Artiles) Houser, Ken Richardson, Sara Jane Klaus, Emma Klaus, and Lili Pupius, nine great-grandchildren, and many other relatives & friends.

Mary Jane was known as an exceptional hostess, and a proud mother and grandmother. She always had a story to share, usually involving her grandchildren. She traveled the world and made lasting friendships with those she met over the years. She will be remembered as a devoted and loyal friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at Cedar Grove Cemetery on the campus of The University of Notre Dame, where Mary Jane's ashes will be interred with her husbands.
