Matthew was born on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1991 to Kenneth and Lorraine Moody in Weatherford, TX. Matthew attended and graduated from Brock High School. He attended Southern New Hampshire University and received his B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in addiction and social psychology, Minor in Sociology, an Associates in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities. He had begun graduate studies in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. His career was in social services and was recently employed by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts. Matthew loved the outdoors and especially hiking and camping with his wife, Sadye, and his brother, Jeff. He also loved fishing, fossil hunting and collecting rocks. He loved his pets, Rosie Roo, Athena and Apollo. He enjoyed reading and playing video games for self-care. Matthew loved his clients. Having a compassionate heart, he desired to help others overcome their obstacles that he himself had diligently worked to overcome.
Every moment spent with Matthew was wonderful. He was an exceptional and caring husband. Moments in nature with running streams were a favorite. Matthew and Sadye chose an idyllic waterfall setting for the most important and best day of their lives— their wedding. They hiked down a trail and stood at the base of a waterfall among the trees as they proclaimed their love and devotion to each other. It was their perfect day. Matthew was a loving husband, son, brother and friend and will be deeply missed.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Sadye Naizer; brother, Jeff Moody; sister, Miranda Sessums and husband, Christopher; mother, Lorraine Moody; father, Kenneth Moody and wife, Diane; and numerous friends.
