FORT WORTH-Mellisa Marie Lagunas Romero passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 at the age of 35.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 at the funeral home.
Mellisa was born Friday, March 15, 1985 in Fort Worth, Texas to Billy Alonzo and Isabell Lagunas. She attended JP Elder Middle School and graduated from Northside High School. She loved swimming, music, amusement parks and cooking out. Mellisa always had a smile on her face, loved her children and loved to eat chili rellenos that her mom would make her once in a while. She also loved her cat, Tita.
Mellisa is preceded in death by her father, Billy Alonzo; daughter, Paulyn Romero; grandfather, Cirano Lagunas; and grandmother, Hermania Garcia.
Survivors: Husband of 16 years, Paul Javier Romero Sr.; daughter, Yaya Romero; daughter, Melliyah Romero; son, Paul Javier Romero, Jr.; mother, Isabell Lagunas; brother, Leodegario Dominguez; brother, Jesus Dominguez; and many friends.
