Nora Marie Chastain

JUSTIN-Nora Marie Chastain passed away Monday, August 31, 2020, in Decatur, Texas surrounded by her family, Jim, Cindy and Eve.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Nora Marie Chastain was born September 26, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Roy Lee and Dorothy Marie (Stoup) Chastain. Marie graduated in Lubbock, Texas and later married her brother Jim’s best friend, Glen Ballard. She and Glen were married 10 years and from this union was born their son, Kelly Glen Ballard. Marie later married Dale Everett, also a best friend of her brother, Jim. Marie and Dale were married for 10 years and because of his work she and Dale were able to travel the world and live in other countries. She really enjoyed her work in Real Estate, selling and showing model homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. Marie was quick-witted, fun to be around and lived life to the fullest. She loved gambling, boating, fishing with Dale and attending drag racing events with her brothers, Jim and Roy.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kelly Ballard and nephew, Stevie Hogg. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Roy Chastain whom she lovingly cared for until his passing on July 7, 2019.
Survivors: Brother, Jim Chastain and wife, Cindy; sister, Eve Squire; brother, Joe Ed Chastain and wife, Paula and their children, Brandon and Amber Kimbell and husband David and Amber’s children, Joseph and Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Betty Chastain; daughter-in-law, Janelle Ballard; granddaughter, Lauren Ballard; nieces, Candice Chastain; Tami Kessler and husband, Danny and Tami’s children, Courtney, Paige and Marcus; Kym Cisneros and her children, Stephanie, Cheyenne and Reece and Stephanie’s daughter, Abriella; nephews, Brad Stevens and wife, Janie and their children, Joe and Tyler; Kevin Chastain and wife, Aimee and their children, Katie and Carlie, Chris Gerdes and wife, Shelly and their children, Presley and Dillon.
She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Rest in Peace.
