FORT WORTH — Norman Troy Hoover passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at the age of 56.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Thursday at University Christian Church, 2720 S. University Drive, Fort Worth 76109. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fort Worth Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
Norman was born Oct. 4, 1958. He was the owner of Metroplex Residential Services and part owner of Hoover Furniture Company. Norman also had a love for ranching, photography and traveling. He had numerous horses during his lifetime and also raised longhorn cattle. Norman attended Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan University. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Texas Longhorn Association and was a past member of the Moslah Shriners Clowns. Norman had a heart bigger than Texas and he was always there when his family and friends needed a helping hand.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Harris P. and Nata J. Hoover; as well as his dog and best buddy, Jack.
Survivors: Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Small Hoover; son, Jeremy Carter and his wife, Nicole; granddaughter, Olivia; siblings, Lela Hoover, Harris P. Hoover III and his wife, Queenie, and John F. Hoover; sister-in-law, Janet Small; a host of nieces and nephews; his dogs, Sasha and Bear; and many friends.
