It is with heavy hearts that we announced the passing of Petra Hernandez-Garcia who peacefully departed this world on December 9, 2024.

Petra was born in El Oregano, Coahuila, to Jose Cupertino Hernandez Rosales and Marcelina Garcia Pesina. She was united in life with her companion Fidencio De La Cruz in 1983 and together they built a life and family full of many memories and love.

Petra's greatest passion in life was her family and she devoted herself fully to being the best grandmother/great grandmother she could be. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she considered them her greatest accomplishment. Petra's love was boundless and her radiant spirit lives on through her beloved children, grandchildren, and, great grandchildren who were the center of her world.

A woman of immense strength, unconditional, love and unwavering generosity, Petra's life was defined by the care and devotion she showed to those she loved. Her legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and selfless devotion to her family, especially her grandchildren who were her guiding light.

Petra will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love will continue to shine through the generations she leaves behind.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on December 17, 2024 at 10 AM at Brown Owens & Brumley Funeral Home at 425 S. Henderson St., Fort Worth, TX 76104.


Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Petra Hernández-García, quien partió pacíficamente de este mundo el 9 de diciembre de 2024.

Petra nació en El Orégano, Coahuila, hija de José Cupertino Hernández Rosales y Marcelina García Padilla. Se unió en vida a su compañero Fidencio De La Cruz en 1983 y juntos construyen una vida y una familia llena de muchos recuerdos y amor.

La mayor pasión de Petra en la vida era su familia y se dedicó de lleno a ser la mejor abuela/bisabuela que pudo ser. Sus nietos y bisnietos eran su orgullo y alegría, y los consideraba su mayor logro. El amor de Petra fue ilimitado y su espíritu radiante sigue vivo a través de sus amados hijos, nietos y bisnietos que eran el centro de su mundo.
Mujer de inmensa fuerza, amor incondicional y generosidad inquebrantable, la vida de Petra se definió por el cuidado y la devoción que mostraba hacia aquellos a quienes amaba. Su legado es de calidez, amabilidad y devoción desinteresada hacia su familia, especialmente a sus nietos, quienes fueron su guía.

Sus hijos, nietos, bisnietos y todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla extrañarán profundamente a Petra. Su amor seguirá brillando a través de las generaciones que deje atrás.

Se llevará a cabo un funeral en su honor el 17 de diciembre de 2024 a las 10 a.m. en Brown Owrns & Brumley Funeral Home en 425 S. Henderson St., Fort Worth, TX 76104.
