FORT WORTH-Rafael Vanegas Villarreal passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at the age of 58.
Celebration of life: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Brown Owens & Brumley Chapel.
Rafael was born Saturday, September 30, 1961 to the late Jose Vanegas Rdz and Carolina Villarreal de Vanegas in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. He attended Technical University of Monterrey, Mexico. Rafael was devoted to his faith and the Catholic Church. Rafael was very loyal and honorable and he would do anything for his friends and family. He was always the “Life of the Party” and everyone was naturally drawn to him. He touched everyone in a very positive fashion. He loved football and his favorite team was the Rayados from his home town of Monterrey, Mexico. While working for Mattel he loved to work with underprivileged children, especially during Christmas and holidays giving out toys. Rafael was an amazing son, brother, uncle and friend. You could always count on him for help and he will be deeply missed by all.
Rafael is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Jose Vanegas.
Survivors: Sister, Elisa Quickenden; brother, Arturo Vanegas; sister, Carolina Vanegas; nephews, Arturo Vanegas, Roberto Vanegas, Rafael Vanegas, Jose Vanegas, Michael Quickenden, and Ross Quickenden; nieces, Elizabeth Vanegas, Carolina Moreno, Aurora Moreno and Romina Moreno; and numerous friends.
