FORT WORTH-Richard Wayne Hardaway passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at the age of 63.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Richard was born September 26, 1955 to Bob and Shirley Hardaway in Pecos, Texas. He earned his Associates Degree in computer science and accounting from Midland College. He also earned his Bachelors Degree in computer systems management from Dallas Baptist University. Richard worked at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad from 1992 – 1997, Hardaway Consulting Inc. from 1997 – 2001 and Standard Sales Company from 2002 – 2015. He proudly served our country by enlisting in the US Army and served from 1973 – 1980. He loved playing golf, working with wood and traveling. Richard was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be deeply missed.
Survivors: Wife, Jill Hardaway; parents, Bob and Shirley Hardaway of Monahans; son, Aaron Smith and wife, Christine of Midland; son, Kevin Hardaway and wife, Melissa of Mansfield; son, Keith Hardaway and wife, Tia of Mansfield; son, Kris Hardaway of Dallas; step-son, Brandon Dilbeck of Clyde; step-son, Matthew Dilbeck of San Angelo; step-son, Jacob Dilbeck of Joshua; daughter by heart, Courtnie Osborne and husband, Chris of Norman, OK; grandchildren, Colin Vaughan, Jordyn Smith, Ryan Smith, Addison Smith, Carson Hardaway, Connor Hardaway, Kelsie Hardaway, Kenzie Hardaway, Little A.; sister, Genie Plumlee and husband, John of Sherman; brother, Ray Hardaway and wife, Susan of Monahans; sister, Susie Hyman and husband, Mike of Odessa; mother-in-law, Linda Henson and husband, John; mother-in-law, Judy Fallaschek and husband, Rick; father-in-law, John Ginn and wife, Robin; sister-in-law, Carol Wilson; brother-in-law, Nicholas Ginn; brother-in-law, Samuel Ginn; sister-in-law, Jessica Ginn; numerous nieces, nephews; and many friends.
