Richard "Ricky" Wright

Mr Richard "Ricky" Wright, age 66, passed away on September 6, 2023.

Richard was born in Abilene, TX to Donald and Peggy Wright.

He was preceded in death by Peggy Wright (Mother). He is survived by his father Donald Wright, his brothers David Wright, Larry Wright, sister-in-law Ester Wright and their family.

He and his family moved to the Fort Worth area in 1967 and eventually settled in Watauga where he became a lifelong resident. He attended the local middle and high schools and enjoyed playing on the football and basketball teams. He graduated from Richland High School in 1976.

After high school, he began his career working for Hudiburg Chevrolet where we would work in various capacities for over three decades. He was always a reliable, hard working and a valuable contributor before health issues forced his retirement in 2017. Ricky was a big fan of old television sit-coms and movies. He loved fishing and his vacation trips to Las Vegas where he would walk about and take in the sights. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending football games at every opportunity. He rarely missed a Cowboys or Texas Rangers game- always by the television when the games were on.

In retirement, he enjoyed yardwork, taking walks around the neighborhood and helping in the care of his father.
