Ronald was born Thursday, October 18,1962 to the late Nathaniel Walter Perry and Myrtle Louise Perry in Riverside, California and was raised in Perris, California. He was a happy baby boy being the youngest of five kids. Ronald was spoiled by his older siblings, especially his two older sisters, “Ricky and Cheryl”. Ronald was a big flirt who loved to joke around by giving his nephews and nieces funny nicknames that he called them by throughout their lives. Such as “Moochie the Moocher”, his oldest niece Elriquin and his other niece Tammy was nicknamed “Wendy the Witch” by Ronald. Ronald loved to keep people smiling by clowning around “playing the dozens”. He also loved to sing, even though we would talk about him, it never stopped him (he thought he could sing). Ronald was very sweet and kind hearted even though his outward exterior looked intimidating. He loved to read, sing and listen to music. He also loved classic cars, and he loved to do mechanic work on cars. He also loved working with his hands.
Ronald attended Mead Valley Elementary School from 1967 to 1976 and Perris High School from 1976 to 1980. He got his certifications in Computer Technology and Landscaping from Chino Performance Program in 1982.
Ronald was baptized and accepted Christ at the age of 15 at Second Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church by the late Rev. Roland. Ronald converted to the Islamic religion and belief in his 20’s and continued to believe in one God (Allah), kindness and humanity. Ronald moved to Arlington, Texas in 2013 and attended the Dar Elsalam Islamic Center. He believed in all the prophets sent by God including Jesus and Muhammad. He believed in the divine Muslims decree, that God is all powerful and nothing can happen without His permission, however, he has given human beings freedom to choose whether to be good or bad. In the end, everyone will be questioned about how they lived. Ronald believed that people should lead their lives in a way that was pleasing to Allah.
Ronald was a jack of all trades, he worked as a car mechanic for many years. Then he moved on to landscaping for Val Verde Elementary School. Later in life, Ronald worked in construction until he was labeled disabled and unable to work.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Donald Perry; oldest sister, Elrica “Ricky” Lewis; oldest brother, Nathan Garcia Rogers; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Marie Roger and Robbyn “Bug Bug” Bacon; one brother-in-law, Robert “Bobby” Lewis; two nieces, Dawndra Tashay Jackson and Ta’Quila Louise Perry; and one great niece, Deqonnisha Louise Culpepper.
Survivors: Sister, Shirley Louise Perry; brother, Charles Walter Perry; nephews, David Lamont Lewis, Broderick Nathaniel Lewis, Altamont Nathan Hamilton and Charles Sellers Jr.; nieces, Elriquin Allen, Tyonnikki Rogers, Altamona Sellers, Tammy Lewis, Taulish Rogers and Tanae Rogers; and a host of great and great- great nieces and nephews plus numerous other family and friends.
