Sharon Reynolds Kennard

FORT WORTH–Sharon Reynolds Kennard went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, at the age of 69, on Monday evening, April 2, 2018 following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Inurnment: A private ceremony will be held at a later date at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Sharon was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and lived there until 2012, when she and Richard moved to Arlington to be closer to her immediate family. Sharon loved teaching kindergarten for over 35 years in Houston, Texas and Caddo Parish, Louisiana. She completed her career in 2012, at Bossier Elementary School in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Sharon loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their children. Following a tradition her mother started many years earlier, she made it a point to mail each of them a card for every holiday and on their birthday. She loved college and professional football, especially the Texas Aggies (Whoop!) and Dallas Cowboys.
Most of all, Sharon loved the Lord. She was secure in His love for her. Sharon demonstrated Jesus’ love in the way she treated others and in the way she trusted Him through her illness. Although her family and friends will miss her greatly, they rejoice in the assurance that she is now completely healed and that they will see her again in Heaven.
“This I recall to mind and therefore I have hope. Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning: great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:21-23
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even thugh he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.” John 11:25
Sharon is preceded in death by parents, William and Mary Reynolds and her brother, William “Billie” Reynolds, Jr.
Survivors: Sharon is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard; their son, Christopher Kennard and wife, Shayla; and two granddaughters, Gabby and Eva Kennard, all of Arlington, Texas; brother, Robert Reynolds and wife, Dani; brother, David Reynolds and wife, Frances; sister, Carolyn Reynolds Bland and husband, Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
