Shirley Jean Burrow was born on Sunday, October 4, 1936 to the late John and Louise Beasley in Pearl, Mississippi. She married James Burrow, a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force on August 2, 1952. They were married for 50 years and had four daughters: Peggy, Sharon, Debbie and Patricia. Shirley worked as a secretary at First Baptist Church in Harrah, Oklahoma for 25 years and was a believer in Jesus as her Savior. In her younger years, she and her husband James, enjoyed square dancing together. She loved working in the yard and baking. The 3 C’s “Coke, Cookies and Chocolate” were her favorite things to eat and drink. She enjoyed her time and walks with her dog, BAMA. Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother. She always called her daughters at 6 am every year on their birthdays. She loved and celebrated her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended as many sporting events and special occasions as she possibly could. At Christmas time, she would line up the grandkids for pictures, first, in order by age, then by their height. Every year she decorated her house for every season and holidays…Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Spring. She loved redecorating her bedroom and always moved her furniture around, never leaving things in the same place for very long. “Let’s Make a Deal”, “Price is Right” and “Family Feud” were her favorite shows to watch. She never met a stranger and everyone that knew her, loved her. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, James Burrow; father, John Beasley; mother, Louise Price; stepfather, Charles Price; daughter, Peggy Jordan; and daughter, Patricia Burrow.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Ellis (Greg), Debbie Bullock (Lynn); grandchildren, Jason Morrison, Brandy Dodson (Dwain), Charlie Morrison (Jessica), Angela Clement (Michael John), Bailey Bullock (Erin), Amiee Richardson (Heath), Jaime Elliott (David), Kattie Webb (Tyler); 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
