Stephen Clay Oliver

April 5, 1959 — January 27, 2023

Stephen Clay Oliver "Olly"  63,   blasted past his final checkered flag and jetted onto the shores of heaven on  Friday, January 27, 2023.

Stephen leaves behind his loving wife, Judith Ann Oliver, three step-children, Brandi, Travis and Derek, two step-grandchildren, Logan and Kasen  and countless jet-ski racing family members and friends.

Born Sunday, April 5, 1959 in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Earl and Dorothy Oliver. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Texas.

Steve attended Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas where he completed his high school education, was a member of the drill team, class of 1977.

He later attended Tarrant County College, graduating 1991,  finding his life's work and career in the healthcare industry as a phlebotomist  and psychiatric patient care technician until he retired from John Peter Smith Hospital-Trinity Springs after many years of dedicated service.

Steve  lived  life to the fullest, always giving his best effort and bringing his A-game to every endeavor. In his early years he was an accomplished and award winning competitive roller skater and  partner-skate dancer.  Throughout his life he enjoyed the outdoors, wind surfing, boating and was an avid fisherman, even  having a boat customized  to fish in during his dialysis.   His greatest life passion was jet ski racing, and for over 30 years he enjoyed competing, traveling, winning, losing, mentoring, supporting  and building a lifetime of friendships and memories.

Steve was a bright and shining soul, a friend to all, stranger to none.  His humor and peaceful spirit was contagious to everyone he met.  Olly will remain in our hearts forever and will be deeply missed.
