Thomas (Tom) Kiefer

Thomas (Tom) Kiefer, 61, passed away on October 25, 2023, in Arlington, Texas.
Tom was born on July 4, 1962 in Dallas, TX, to William (Bob) Kiefer and Margaret (Peggy) Mulligan Cavanagh.

Tom graduated from Freeport High School, Freeport, NY in 1980 and went on to study business and management at University of Texas at Arlington and later, Dallas Baptist University. Tom started his career at LTV Aerospace and Defense in 1984 and has been in Supply Chain Management for many of his 39 years with Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Grand Praire, TX.  He also contributed to the management association for many years as an event coordinator, planning events such as the yearly golf tournament and trips to Lone Star Park for dinner and horse races.

Tom married Tammy (Haisley) Kiefer in Arlington, TX. The couple have 2 children, Lauren Nicole (deceased) and Evan Thomas of Arlington,TX.
Tom was a Christian man, best known for his love of his family and friends. He never met a stranger and his bright, positive nature was celebrated by every acquaintance he made. He loved golfing, fishing, hunting and many other sports. He was also a big supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and Ducks Unlimited.

Tom is survived by Tammy Kiefer-wife, Evan Kiefer-son, Greg Kiefer-brother, Mike Kiefer (Mary)-brother, Donna Benoot (Randy)-sister, Mark Kiefer (Tina)-brother, Kristin Schuetter (Jeff)-sister, Steve Sherman-brother-in-law and an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.

Tom is preceded in death by Lauren Kiefer-daughter, Bob Kiefer-father, Peggy Cavanagh-mother, Patti Sherman-sister.

The service for Tom will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 3:00pm at First Christian Church, 910 S. Collins Street, Arlington, TX.

Memorial donations can be made in Tom's name, to any of the following charities that were near and dear to Tom; Wounded Warrior Project, American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association.
