William “Bill” Louis Lahmer, 58, was welcomed into Heaven on Saturday, January 12, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Turning Point Church, 10700 Old Burleson Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76140. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Brown, Owens & Brumley Funeral Home at 425 S. Henderson St., Fort Worth, Texas 76104. All whose lives were touched by Bill are invited to celebrate and honor his life whether at visitation, memorial service, or both.
Bill was born to Richard Lawrence Lahmer and Katherine Louise Lahmer on February 27, 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas where he lived his entire life. Bill leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and a love and dedication to his family and friends who miss him dearly and will celebrate him always. His Christianity was demonstrated every day through faith, hope and love that sustained and strengthened him. Bill was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Texas, graduating from Arlington Heights High School in 1978.
Bill was a master in his field of HVACR, and an icon to the industry. His career spans 40 years and began in 1978 as a driver with Tersco (now United Refrigeration) which promoted to store management. He became employed by Koldaire Supply in sales and inventory control and then moved into a position as a service technician with GEEP Mechanical in 1996. In 2002, he became an HVACR instructor for a local vocational school in addition to his position as a service technician. In 2005, he enjoyed the capstone of his career by launching his own HVACR service business, Lahmer Air Conditioning and Heating. His passion for excellence in HVACR service fueled his desire to found Texas Career Center, a local vocational school, specializing in the instruction of HVACR to aspiring students.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Frederick Lahmer and Richard Lahmer. Bill is survived by his loving wife Tamra Rene Lahmer, his children William Lawrence Lahmer, Dwayne Daniel Lahmer, Randi Lyn Craig and husband Norman, Cassandra Rene Engel and husband John, Cheree Annette Flowers, Arthur Lee Flowers; his grandchildren Khloe, Cameron, Logan, Nolyn, Collin, Shayla, Valencia, Alexanndria, Christa, Devon, Tristan, Ashanti, Devonte, Ashton, Mason, Anneyah, Omar, Sadie, Aliyah, Penelope and A.J.; sister Lynn Ryan and husband Peter; nephews Chris Ryan and Thomas Lahmer.
