Aledo-William Bryan Bogle passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at the age of 90.
Bryan was born May 7, 1928 in his grandmother’s house in Fort Worth. He was the son of Chester Vernon and Ruth Echols Bogle. Bryan lived in Fort Worth until he was 12, then his family moved to Abilene. He graduated from Abilene High School and later graduated from Abilene Christian University, earning a double degree in math and physics. He joined the US Air Force and completed the Air Force Pilot Training Program, where he received his “wings” and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant.
In 1953, Bryan married the love of his life, Julia Anne Ratcliffe. In 1966, he left the USAF to work as an avionics engineer. After a long and successful career, Bryan retired, and he and Julie moved to Texas.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Julie Bogle; children Shannon, Kevin, and Erin; 4 grandsons; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
