LAKE WORTH-William Cunningham passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the age of 87.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
VISITATION: 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the funeral home.
INTERMENT: William will be laid to rest with his beloved wife of 67 years, Marilyn Cunningham in Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
William was born January 13, 1934 to the late W. J. and Beatrice Cunningham in Fort Worth, Texas. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the US Army. William became a police officer in his twenties and retired in the early 1990’s after many dedicated years of service. He received the “Policeman of the Year” in 1975. He was best known as “Cricket” after his co-workers put crickets in his motorcycle’s gas tank. William loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys, read the newspaper and play the guitar. He and Marilyn always loved sitting on their front porch just talking and reminiscing about life. He was a loving father and friend and will be missed.
William is preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife of 67 years, Marilyn Cunningham.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Marcie Krumm and spouse, Anita.
