William "Bill" James Stengar

William (Bill) J. Stengar, 82, passed away January 18, 2025 in Granbury.  He was born March 25, 1942 in Snoqualmie, Washington.  He served 4 years in the US Navy.  He married his wife Margaret (Peggy) in Seattle in 1968.  He worked for civil service in the radiation protection field at shipyards in Bremerton, Washington, Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  The family moved to Granbury in 1982 for his employment at the nuclear plant.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Stengar of 56 years in Granbury, and his son, Michael Stengar and his family in Houston.  He enjoyed traveling and family vacations.  He was a devoted family man who loved his wife and son dearly.  A family memorial will be held at a later date.
