FORT WORTH — WillieMae (Degge) Hamilton, 95, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015.

Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home.
WillieMae was born September 10, 1920, in Fort Worth, to the late William B. and Edna Mae Degge.
WillieMae attended school and lived in Fort Worth for most of her life. WillieMae’s home town roots run deep. Her family was among the first one hundred pioneer families to settle in Fort Worth. The Burke Family Cemetery on Bryant Irvin Road has received Historical designation.
WillieMae loved God. Her strong faith provided the foundation for her life and every choice she made. Her passion in life was to love and be loved by her family and circle of friends, old and new. WillieMae enjoyed sharing her creative talents through beautiful piano renditions and impressionistic oil paintings. As a young woman she worked as a fashion model and maintained her sense of style throughout her life, always enhanced by her own personal creativity. She lived with childlike enthusiasm and a powerful positive spirit that constantly inspired those around her. She was known as “that girl”, “my bride”, “Mother”, “the Queen”, “Nana”, “Jinx”, and “Auntie”.
The family would also like to say special thanks to Midlothian Healthcare Center and the caregivers who took care of her and loved her like family.
WillieMae is preceded in death by husband, Jack D. Hamilton; and son, Robert(Bobby) Hamilton.
Survivors: She is survived by son, William D. Hamilton and wife, Gayle; daughter, Gayle and husband, Judge Roy English; grandchildren, Wendy Hamilton Bray and husband, Gerald, Angela English, Robin English Goerlich and husband, Jim, Jason Hamilton and wife, Amanda, Kara Hamilton, Errin Hamilton and Cody Hamilton; niece Betty Vaughn and husband, Bill; great-niece Amy Van Hecke and husband, Jeremiah; great-nephew, Andy Vaughn; and great-great nieces Aniela and Mattie Van Hecke. Her great-grandchildren are Zack Aldridge, Sophie Porter, Sebastian Canate, Mckenzie Hamilton, Mikayla Hamilton, and Jayden Hamilton. She is also survived by her “sister-friend”, Delle’ Denton of California.
