Sue and I and all our family have so many wonderful memories of time spent with the Wells family both in El Paso and afterward. Everyone I have told about Eddies passing remembers his laugh. He was a joy to know. Our prayers are with all the Wells family. We love you all!

I knew Eddie for the last 9 years, I think almost to the month when he and Shirley moved in to Heritage Place. It was a crazy busy day but we got them all moved in!
My most favorite memory of Eddie was his smile. He always had a sweet smile and his blue eyes would come alive. Of course there was always that sideway smile and glance when Shirley would say something that she though he didn’t hear but clearly he did and you had to chuckle. He would love to get her goat and it would make her so mad and he just smile bigger!
The most engaging memory was when he and the family all came to Graham to spend the weekend out at our ranch for July 4, 2016 weekend. He had his big cowboy hat on and couldn’t wait to get there. We have a beautiful view of the pond from our living room and large porch. We all fished, swam in the pond, road the 4 wheeler, hiked and ate lots of wonderful food. Eddie was determine to walk about which my husband, Chris Wells, ran out to him and took him by the arm so he be steady. Then came the kayak. Oh Lord, he made a beeline for it from the porch! His eyes were fixated on that blue kayak and a grin ear to ear. Phillip, Eddie’s son, said hang on Dad! He grab him by the arm with the help of Chris Wells and Rock Malone, Leslie’s husband and Eddie’s granddaughter, and somehow got him in it. We all piled into the water with him to guide him around in the kayak. He loved it! When it came time to get him out that was quite the chore from an upward slope but the men did. Eddie was ready to live out there! He had a grand time. We all did!
