VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the funeral home.
Steve was born July 30, 1959 to the late Phillip and Maria Cruz Mendoza in Fort Worth, Texas. Steve loved to jog and work out and being with his family. He also liked being outside and exploring while hiking. Most importantly, he loved being a grandfather. He was the best grandfather our children could ask for. He played with them and took them places and always had snacks for them to eat. He also loved tennis and boxing and would come over on the weekend to watch with me. I remember walking to the movies on Main St. when I was a kid and it was called Ices. I don’t remember the name of the movie but it had monsters in it. I loved music because of Steve. He loved classic rock, 70’s, and rock & roll. I always enjoyed hanging out with him listening to music. He showed me so many bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Chicago. He thought he was Robert Plant and would say it all the time. Steve also fought two professional fights. He fought in the Golden Gloves in Northside Fort Worth. Steve was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed and remain in our hearts forever.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Aden Lane Curtis.
