
Fort Worth, Texas-The family of Thomas Virgil Gidley is deeply saddened by his passing on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the age of 75.
Military Committal Service: will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 7521 on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. **(The ceremony will last 15 minutes and guests are asked to leave immediately after the ceremony due to number of services held daily.)**
Thomas was born was to the late Thorton V. Gidley and Nona Jennings Gidley in Houston, Texas. He moved to Fort Worth, Texas with his mother after the death of his father when he was seven years old.
After attending the University of Texas Arlington, he joined the U.S. Army and fought in Vietnam War. He was awarded an Army Commendation and Bronze Star Medal along with many other medals. After leaving the Army, he went to work at RGIS where he worked for many years until his retirement. He valued all his friends at RGIS and spoke of them often. Thomas was a very mild mannered man and laughed easily with a twinkle in his eye. He will be deeply missed and always remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.
Thomas is survived by several cousins and all his dear friends at RGIS.

Gid was a coworker and a very Kind hearted Man. We worked over 20 years together At RGIS. Gid was quiet, but was very dependable and always there till the end getting the job done. I Thank him for his service in the military and protecting our freedom. Thanks for being a friend with all your co-workers, your soul touched many. You will be missed until we meet again in Heaven.
