Carol Jean and family,
We wish to express our sympathy to all of you on learning of Vince’s passing. He was a dear brother in Christ to many, us included and will be severely missed. Vince proved his usefulness to God in many ways and that void will be felt by all who knew him. Our thoughts turn to your meeting there and our prayers will be with you all as the days unfold in an uncharted future. So glad the Comforter is very near, especially in times like this. May you draw and receive help from the comfort of His spirit. Love in Christ, V & J

I worked with Vince for about 11 years at CTES. He was not just a fellow employee, he was my friend. Everytime he visited from Dallas, I would seek him out to say Hello to. I usually would go to lunch alone but when Vince came down we would often go to lunch together. I can’t believe that my friend is gone. I will miss him dearly! God Bless you Vince!!!

Glad he now has joy for all eternity! My thoughts of care and love are with you.

Dear Carol Jean,
Our memories of you and Vincent date back many years. Your loss is our loss. Vincent always had a friendly handshake when we would see him. He never forgot us and we won’t forget him. There is rejoicing when the harvest is brought in but it leaves an emptiness in the field. Joy and indeed sorrow interwoven. May the God of all comfort be your Comfort. Love from us both, Maynard and Janie

Dearest Carol and Dustin,
I was shocked and saddened to hear that Vincent was not well and even more so to learn of his passing. Our family has so many precious memories of Vincent and the time our paths crossed when he was only 17, nearly 18. It was not uncommon for Dad to bring home strangers when he met one he liked. And Vincent was just that person…Dad instantly took to Vincent when he came into Dad’s shop for a haircut. Dad brought him to our home unannounced that evening and Vincent stayed for dinner. It was the beginning of a very long and dear friendship. Vincent has always credited Mom and Dad for being influences in his life, but little did he really know just how big of an influence he was in theirs as well as us children. Vincent was deeply, deeply loved by our family and we shared many walks in the valleys as well as on the mountaintops. What a sweet, kind loving spirit he had and a smile to light up the state of Texas to go with it. We will certainly miss him, but will cling to those fond memories for the rest of our lifetimes.
With sincerest sympathy, Laura Hunt Eller

Dear Carol Jean, Dustin, and other Family Members,
I want to take a few minutes from this day to let you know our thoughts are with each of you. It is wonderful to remember Vincent’s first steps of faith, many years ago in NC, and now to realize he continued his journey in faith even unto death.
Ephesians 3:16-21 was strengthening my faith today, and I hope it too, will strengthen and encourage your hearts. Wishing you the presence God’s comfort at this time and in the days to come.

Fond memories of Vincent hanging out at our house in Denham Springs…. the water FIGHTS and mom fussing at us for running in and out of the house with wet clothes… loved every moment. He also gave me my all time favorite poem and I still have it in my childhood scrap book. In fact, when Angelina, my oldest child was in 5th grade she memorized and quoted it at the talent show at Lewis Vincent Elementary School. Miss you, Vincent!! 🙂 ♡ 🙂 See you in heaven!!

Both you and Vince have been near in heart and mind so much the past months, and more than ever the past couple of days. Our prayers are very deep for your comfort, Carol Jean. The immortal seed eventually ‘breaks out of the husk’ of the human body and leaves it behind to go on to something much better than the struggles of this life. Vince has reached the ultimate victory. We will miss him standing in our little area at Mt Peak dining with his hands in his pockets and that smile of mischief on his face. Our love to you, dear friend.

Carol Jean, Dustin, and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of a wonderful man, friend, father and husband. We first met Vincent when moving from San Antonio to Fort Worth. I was living in the hotel and we attended meeting in your home for a short while before finding a permeant residence in Flower Mound area. Vincent was always so welcoming and warm each Sunday morning. His smile would greet you when arriving as he always made us feel so welcome in your home. His home is now in a place we all aspire to be. I thank him for his example and for keeping the bar raised up. May he now rest as his work here is done. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. With love,
Scott, Shanna, Emma and Douglas

Dear Carol Jean,
Just a short note to tell you how much I appreciated Vince’s testimony and spiritual insights. I met Vince in 2006 when I worked on a project for CTES in Conroe. We had very good spiritual visits that were so helpful. I really appreciated Vince’s testimonies in Wed night bible studies when he was in Conroe for work.
Naturally Vince was a technically talented ‘people person’. I appreciated the insights he shared about his job and it helped with my project. I don’t think Vince ever met a stranger. He was friendly, had a great sense of humor and a sincere warmth and kindness toward people. He will be deeply missed. My thoughts are with you and all of your family at this time.
With deepest sympathy,

We had the privilege of knowing Vincent as he would visit our home in Denham Springs, LA back when I was a child. The most memorable moment is when Vincent took us on an airplane ride. He told our mom to stand outside and wave to us. We left Ryan Airport, and he flew us over our house…mom was raking leaves in the yard, and waving as we circled our home several times. Then, he took us on a tour of Baton Rouge. I still remember how the Mighty Mississippi looked so small from up there, and for the first time, I thought about how small we really are. His soft spoken words and spirit will never be forgotten. I wonder what he sees now that we can’t yet see?

What a privilege to count Vincent as a friend and mentor. I am so grateful to have spent time with him in the last few years talking about the bible and our walk with God. He was an indescribable example of what the spirit can do in our lives if we give God first place and seek him daily. Lynn and I so treasure the times we had together with him and Carol Jean. Our hearts and prayers go out to Carol Jean and Dustin for their loss.

Our dear CJ,
The funeral yesterday was such a triumph for Vincent. He really preached his own funeral with his messages to everyone there. His heart was filled with love and his greatest wish was that each could find peace with God. We know that Vincent had that peace. May you find comfort in the coming days.
With much love,
Nancy and Carlos
