Dr. Vincent “Starlord” Jaurigui returned to the galaxy on February 10th, 2021 at the age of 31.
Celebration of Life: You are welcome to celebrate Vincent any time on Thursday, February 18th, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The family will be present from 4:30pm – 7:00pm to receive friends and pay tribute at Brown, Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home. Due to COVID restrictions, max capacity is 50% and masks are required. Visitors may come and go throughout the day.
Vinny enjoyed cooking, playing video games, anime, music, holistic medicine, and spending time with his family. He was known as the ultimate adventurer and could be found walking the streets of Fort Worth (or Mexico) in true nomad style, with a pair of headphones and a backpack. As a certified Pokémon trainer, Vinny sought out many battles throughout the city, capturing many a Pokémon. He was a jack-of-all-trades and some of his crafts included sandwich artist, music connoisseur, pop-culture guru, professional gamer, breakfast maker, sound engineer, and abstract painter. Vinny also loved working with his hands and was well-known for giving fabulous back massages.
He defied the status quo through his bold and unique sense of style ranging from vampire goth to emo rock star to fur coats and Elmer Fudd hats.
Vinny’s mischievous grin and loud chuckle could light up an entire room. As a renowned philosopher and generally pensive person, his personal motto was, “Why am I here”? Vinny knew no strangers and found a friend in everyone.
He was surrounded by his fellow stargazers upon his return to the galaxy.
This is not goodbye.
Vinman, May the Force Be with You.
Preceded in death by: his grandparents, Nicho and Rosa Saenz, Grandma Bea Garcia, Father Alton G. Jaurigui, and Brother Joseph Jaurigui.

Vinny, you are what mattered most in the last 10 years of my difficult life, there was never a day you denied my need for you and I am forever grateful and considered myself to be indebted to you cousin. You were a solid rock in my life we ventured together everywhere and anywhere I took you with me we created happiness. Something I haven’t felt since my grandparents passed. No words can make up how I feel for you, I cannot wait to see you again primo and hope you haunt me with some chuckles. I love you Vincent/Sev.
