Smith Vivian Obituary

Vivian Sue Thomason Smith, 78, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away November 13, 2021. She was born April 4, 1943, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the daughter of Malcolm and Ruth Thomason. She was the youngest of 7 siblings. She married Larry Neil Smith on April 5, 1963. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and retired from the Texas Education System in 2002.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Smith, daughters and son in-laws, Shellie and Gerald Rabroker of Corsicana, TX.; Stephanie and Mark Becknal, Goodlettsville, TN.; grandchildren, Rebecca Becknal Bawayan and husband Jerel, William Becknal and wife Jordan, Sarah Becknal Hill and husband James, Callie Smith Lozano and husband Rowdy Lopez, Brent Becknal, Allison Brinkman, Maddison Brinkman; great grandchildren, Luke, Benjamin, Lydia Becknal, Cameron and Adelyn Lopez, Evelyn, Remington, and Shepherd Hill. She is survived by her sister, Callie Harlyn Smith, brother William Frank Thomason, multiple nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Gideons International, 50 Century Blvd., Nashville, TN 37214

I taught with Sue for many years, and, thought of her as a friend and fellow teacher. At CFT, we always banded together and spent time together outside of school. After retirement, we still have met for lunch. Just loved Sue, and will miss her so much. She was a great lady!
